Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

  • BMW CCA - Peachtree Chapter - AutoX - Oct 1st

I took a chance and ran with this group a few weeks ago at Atlanta Motor Speedway knowing how good the site is. Couldn't ask for a nicer more inclusive group of folks. The coarse was a bit odd compared to SCCA typical courses, but it was fun. Much more ability for line choice as trying to drive a the tightest line was painfully awkward in a few places. Many of Roger Johnson's rules of coarse design were broken. But, again it was fun. 8 Runs on a long 80+second coarse.

Trying to make to work out so I can get back there this Sunday. Its a bit of a drive and we lose an hour, but they get started much later than we are used to. I'll plan on arriving on site between 9 and 9:30 and will have time to spare.

I made it over for this event. A very long coarse full of challenging visuals, tight slaloms and awkward offsets. Lots of DNF's. First time I've ever seen a slalom that was a "J". Wish I had video. For me, these coarses are forcing me to work on my weaknesses - slowing down and looking ahead.

I took my first FTD against some solid drivers in STR/U/X cars with a time of ONE HUNDRED FORTY THREE SECONDS. Ridiculous but lots of fun.
