Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

Think about setting up an account there, plugging in your vehicle and which class and number you'd like to run with. You will make our Registrars and T&S folks VERY HAPPY.

Everyone that wants to run at this event will have to register online.

So looking through the current entry list T&S will still need to make sure and check classes at the event. I already see some cars that are not in the right class, STS has a 2008 350Z in it, LOL.

T&S are not responsible for classing. Pick on someone else like Tech. Competitors should have numbers and classes already on the vehicle when presented to the inspector. If Tech is not checking then get someone else to do Tech.

Since you have to be registered to get tech'd, it doesn't make much sense to me to send someone down to tech that you know is mis-registered, then to have tech to call back up to registration to let them know the right class when it could all have been taken care of at registration in the first place. I'd suggest that both registration, and tech be on the lookout, as well as anyone in the class (and for that matter, anyone in the club who cares enough to say anything haha).

It is not Tech's responsibility to correct classing errors. Tech inspectors' job is to ensure that the car is safe, helmets meet required standards, numbers and letters are present and correct size/color(visible). Tech is a safety inspection. It's the responsibility of the entrant to class himself/herself correctly. The other entrants may protest if he/she is in the incorrect class.

            4.6 RESPONSIBILITY FOR CAR CLASSIFICATION
The driver is responsible for the correct determination of the car's category and class. If in doubt as to classification or concerning the conformity of the car or its equipment to the rules governing the class, he/she may submit a Request for Clarification to the Protest Committee, which will determine the matter under the procedures of Section 8. It is the driver's responsibility to assure the proper number is on the car prior to competing.

            5.6 CHIEF TECHNICAL INSPECTOR
            (final paragraph)
The Chief Technical Inspector is NOT responsible for car classification, that responsibility falls to the entrant as described in Section 4.6 ^^^

BUT, yeah we try to help with classing if asked lolz. But hey John W8 could run the Miater in FS if nobody protested him. If we's is goings by the books.

            Remember entrants..

Only YOU...Can prevent incorrect classification. Brought to you by Smokey the Be..er I mean..Heater!!!

Going to try and make it out provided my loaner car makes it back from chump car at NCM in working order (Im currently pulling the head off my fun car). Ran (literally helped design and run) the BMWCCA two weeks ago, was a great time. A little harder to record times by hand but the course was nice and fast. Skid pad is always a good time. Great price for Saturday. Cant wait to see some old faces and new ones

Looks like it might be a wet weekend. Is this event rain or shine? I am from the Huntsville area and will be coming down to enjoy the day. Long drive to come back because of rain.

Yes, the event is rain or shine. Looking at the forecast, I would be prepared for rain.

The latest hourly forecast for Saturday looks a lot more favorable for us than the last three TAC events. There's still hope for dry runs.

If it does rain, that place turns into Lake Barbers. Up to 8" deep in some parts

The registration folks may want to do a little homework to be prepared come Saturday morning. We've got lots of classing issues that may need to be addressed.
