  • Another class question

Lacey and I have some first timers coming out Sunday. I got the FRS/BRZ guys but I don't know anything about mustang classes. Late 90's mustang with an intake and exhaust. What class? Thanks guys, weather is looking good and hope you can stick around for the wedding!

Assuming these are CAI and a full exhaust (not just a drop in K&N and a catback) then STU is the ST class for them as long as they are NA.

Edit - there's also probably a CAM class but I don't know those.

Also if they have any head work (ported), camshaft, or other "normal" mustang mods it's not an ST car.

Also still have to have some sort of catalytic converter to run STU. Otherwise they bump to an SP class.

OK, no cat. So which SP?

                Sounds like SM.

Or STM, or possibly even one of the CAM classes.

You mention "full exhaust". Just make sure they know if it's stupid loud he won't be able to run.

If they want to race each other without using PAX to compare times, both of those cars are in the CAM-C class. The only rules in that class are no big ass wings and 200 treadwear tires on muscle cars newer than ~1990.

They don't know each other. It has mufflers so don't think it will be too loud. He's on Goodyear eagles so I'll just tell him to go SM or CAM
