  • another class question

I have another first timer wanting to come out and play.
Its a 240 with performance cams among other things. I could be way off but I believe the cams alone put it in prepared? And my initial thought was DSP. The 240 that ran Sunday was in XP. This is where I got confused. Other mods at play are 11:1 compression, stage 2 clutch, and an LSD. 2300lbs wet if that's a deciding factor.

That's too many engine mods for a street prepared car. XP may be the place. Is this a Datsun 240, Nissan 240 or Volvo 240?

Unless I'm missing something you can run SM. Weight can be as low as 2280? The cams are not allowed in *SP.

DSP is where the 240 falls, but not with those engine mods. If you're still Nissan powered, you can run in SM, unless there are additional mods you haven't listed yet (I assume there must be).

How much interior do you have? If you're at 2300lbs wet, I doubt very little. Unless you've done some substantial body panel replacement, I doubt you have it down to 2300lbs and are still SM legal.

You can run XP *almost* no matter what. That's where the cool kids go anyway. You probably won't have a lot of fun with our local SM competition. It's gnarly!

That's the only engine mids I was told. It is Nissan. I've been asked to co drive so I guess I'll register with xp and go from there. Thanks
