  • Info for AutoX at Barber, Aug 9?

Do we have any info for this event? Where do we paddock? Does it cost anything to get in the track? Do we sign waivers at the credentials building or at the gate? Is there info on another website?

    I've had people asking questions.

Any info would be appreciated, I'm sure.

In addition to having these questions myself, I am also being asked them.

It's 3 weeks out, guys. We need info on where to register. I've got several people asking how to sign up.

Doesn't registration typically open two weeks out anyway?

Seriously, Sam is on vacation. Maybe Mark will chime in later.

Well, he needs to stop calling me in the middle of the night for pillow talk.

Back on topic, I am curious if we are using axware or motorsportsreg and what the waiver situation will be. I don't want to drive right past the Porsche school only to have to turn around and go sign a waiver. Everything else is easy to figure out onsite.

Also, I found my sombrero. Gonna be stylin'

Yes, it usually does but since this is a special event I would've thought there would be more info.

              Thanks

It was announced at the events that motorsportsreg is what we'll be using going forward for online registration.

Any other details will have to wait on Mark

It would be nice to have some info on course design, time length and cost. Since Alscca is starting a new path for autocross at barber, I was wondering if we could designate the event in honor of one of the greats of our ALSCCA autocross in the name of Mark McWilliams.

Ultimately our autocross is part of the national Saleen Club's weekend. I think you can expect the cost to be the same or very similar to our normal events. We rarely have course maps available ahead of time and, since this is first time at a new facility, I would be surprised if that changes. I haven't seen the completed facility but I don't expect a 60 second course like at the Met.

                    Nice idea honoring Mark.

The event is in conjunction with the Saleen Club of America. Cost will be as normal. Registration will be on motorsportreg.com. You will not have to pay to get in the gate. We will have signs directing you where to go when you get there, but the event will be taking place at the Porsche Proving Grounds. We have no idea how long the course will be considering this will be our first time at the grounds, but I would suspect it to be 45 seconds or longer.

Any pics of the area or a recent google earth of that part of the park?
