You're right Eric. We always monitor physical wear to whatever site we use. Gouging due to bottoming out is just one more factor to consider.

I was working 2 cones up from to the "problem area" on Sunday. I could see the accumulating scratches through the sealer into the pavement. White streaks on a black surface stand out.Erik B.
Why do I keep racing these weird cars?
Why can't I just get a miata and be happy?

FWIW, if you looked at the dip between the poles that we did not use, there were a lot of pavement clearance issues causing scraping there from other venues there...Last edited by claym; 07-04-2015, 01:18 AM.Bill Clinton "It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is."

There were also pre-existing places with missing seam sealer.Originally posted by claym View PostFWIW, if you looked at the dip between the poles that we did not use, there were a lot of pavement clearance issues causing scraping there from other venues there...Rod H

Just more justification for driving the course ahead of time with a lowered vehicle...sounds like my car could be a good option.Originally posted by Focus View PostHa ha. I know I drive an overly tall econobox with a camber problem that requires a tall ride height. It's not stanced out, but I'm ok with that.

Shouldn't this be as important as sound levels, since it can cause us to lose a venue and build a negative reputation in the area? Sorry about pointing the finger Sam, but it's worth considering. Nothing personal.

Im traditionally one of those what you see is what you get kind of guy, but i do agree that the setup sunday at first was unsafe do to proximity, as for the bump well im out there in a dedicated car and the money to fix it so i have the "pay to play" attitude but i also do understand people take their dailies out there. im new to this region since i got out of the military, but as far as full speed test runs to check the track by well really anybody i think is a good thing it will benefit us all. i will do my best to be there at 6:30 to help set up track.dude you crashed the mustang!! screw it kick the panels out, strip it out, and lets race it...
