I seem to remember someone in our club trying to rent that lot and failing. I just can't remember who it was.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Sundays will be out. That being said, show on a Saturday and ask nicely.

It's worth a shot but there are two big issues with churches as large as Highlands & my church (Gardendale First Baptist). First is the universal site owner fear that their expensive facilities may get damaged. Second is, even if they are willing, it is extraordinarily difficult to find a Saturday with little to nothing going on such that the lot could even be made available. If you've never been involved at a "mega church" you might be shocked at just how many things are going on.

You would've like it had you been there. Trust me it was a lot of fun. You never noticed the islands and you were never in danger of hitting them.
