How to make a VroomGrrl Cry:

    1. Put my new tires on my car
    2. Send me on my way
    3. Tell me why my car shakes so bad over 60 mph it feels like it's going to FLY FREAKIN APART

I am not sure if I should even drive it to BRC.

For real, I'm trying to get Vincent or somebody who lives near me to meet me & help me figure out WTF is going on with my ride.

    HELP!

They might have forgotten to put the weights on the wheels to balance the new tires. Even if they forgot to do one it will make the entire car shake.

Look at the tire right along the rim and there should be a small rectangular weight. If not that is the problem.

Either a tire is defective or the shop never balanced the tire/s. Take it back to the place that put them on.

I have to do that anyway, but A) they're closed on the weekend, and b) they are in Bham and I am in Tuscaloosa and I am SO AGGRAVATED, the whole point of getting all this crap taken care of this week was to get out and play on Sunday.

        BOO FREAKIN HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

It was dark when I got home last night, but I got a quick look at the tires, couldn't see anything obviously wrong, checked pressures (uneven but not crazy off). I noticed the new weights on at least one of the tires, I'll get a better look today.

Then take it to a local tire store and have them check your tires. If they find the problem take the bill back to the other store for reimbursement.

Yeah I'm going thru the book now trying to find somebody open on Saturday. I am usually so picky about where I take the car, I would normally not just pull into the first tire place I saw, but if this is where the PORSCHE SPECIALITY SHOP gets me, I guess any Tom Dick or OK TIRE SHOP will do after all. Or maybe WAL-MART

See if they have an Omega near you. They are open on Sat. and the one in Downtown B'ham has never done me wrong. They aren't the cheapest, though.

No Omega here. Firestone is open on Saturday. Got a local Pcar wrench friend coming over soon to help me figure out what the prob is, and hopefully I'll be able to get straight for tomorrow.

I'll be there tomorrow regardless, but hopefully not in my Honda CRV. I need to get Paul & the Honda guys to pimp out my CRV. I'd love to AX that thing

OK. Wow. I don't know whether I'm feeling more STUPID or MAD.

I'll tell you this. I am feeling 10000% BLESSED. And LUCKY as hell.

The car is fine, the tires are great. The wheels - not so much. Sorry to be cryptic, I'll explain next week.

I'll be at BRC tomorrow but in the Honda.

There are few aftermarket wheels that rival the wheels on that car in weight or strength.Aluminum 911 Fuchs are the nectar of the porsche gods.It is a pretty big loss .
