Is online registration for the test and tune officially open? It's up and running but only four drivers have registered. I wonder if requiring online pay is stopping people from pre-registering? The two Huntsville clubs allow you to register online and pay at the event to cut down on the time it takes to put people in the system, did this not work for us last year?

Hmmm ... it is supposed to require payment. Honestly though, I'm with you. Pre registration does help speed up the reg line.

A couple of people have voiced the concern to me that requiring online payment with registration may deter people from registering online..

Folks like to have the option of not showing up. Preregistration works great but some don't like to pay in advance, in case they decide the World Pottery Championship on ESPN4 is more important.

I kind of agree Jordan. I can only assume that Jamie's reasoning was to help with logistics for us. Last season we had to have lists of who paid and who didn't, who registered online and who didn't. If all online registrants paid online that would be less for us to deal with. But, is that really better than registering 20 extra people on-site and having longer waits?

I think we should stick the the format from last year and just get rid of the different costs for online and on-site reg (already done). Please register online and pay online, but it's not required. Me and Jordan will sort that out. Or, no online payment at all ... thats an option. Keep the money all in one place.

i might have missed it but is the event going to be run like a regular event? i know we tried some different things last year. just wondering.

I believe the plan is to have the main course and a figure 8 like last year. Not sure as Sean hasn't finalized the course that i know of.

On the subject of registration.....I'm staying out of this onefor the most part .I will say this...you can't have your cake and eat it too!Pick a method and use it .online and onsite registration together dont coexist well together from an event management standpoint .
