  • Solo Registration Q&A

We has some confusion last year when it came to registration ... cost, time frame, etc. I'll put all the information I can here to keep everyone on the same page when it comes to registration.

What is the online registration time frame?
Online registration for each event will open 2 weeks before the event date. Online registration closes at noon (12:00 pm) the day before an event.

    Is online registration required?
No. You can register on-site the morning of the event.

What is the on-site registration time frame?
Registration on-site opens at 7:15 am and closes at 8:45 am.

    How much is registration?
    $30.00 for SCCA Members & $40.00 for non-members

Is there a cost difference if I register online?
There is no difference. However, if you register online you must also pay online.

Is there a late registration fee?
On-site registration after 8:45 am will include a $5 late fee.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Yes, the standard registration fee. I believe it's $30 for members and $40 for non members. As the post says, I'm checking with Jamie to be sure.

Matt, are we requiring online registration and payment this season? I thought I read that in one of the threads but I can't find it. Or maybe it was requiring online payment if you register online.

Hey Darryl - as far as I understand, we are requiring online payment if you register online. Online registration is not a requirement though.

Is there a discount for workers and/or chiefs? How would that work for online registration? (I'd still work if there isn't) Did I hear something about season registration?

Why do I keep racing these weird cars?
Why can't I just get a miata and be happy?

Yes there is a discount for workers and chiefs. I dont know if axware will take that or not. I'll check with matt & evan. If not you can register at the event.

I do not think Axware has provisions for more than a member/non-member payment scale in the current setup. I'm sure it could be added, but I would advise against it for the sake of simplicity. Last year, many people had issues using the site and I think it would be best to not add more confusion with extra payment choices. Setup crew and chiefs can pay on site.

Hey will the T&T use a kart-legal layout? May try to bring the new shifter down for a few shakedown runs.

I guess we need to. Most of the time it is. We can have yoder ajust if need be.

Clay knows these rules very well. The kart is a F125 and will be flying. James ran a 350Z in SM and I doubt he'd do anything less than fly. Light poles are the greatest concern.

2.2 COURSE SAFETY AND LAYOUT RULES
                              D.
The Solo Safety Steward shall have the authority to disapprove a course or site for karts only, when there are upright solid objects (e.g. light poles, fence posts, etc.) on the site within 50 feet of the actual course. This does not include curbs. While safety systems for karts provide acceptable driver protection for most incidents, upright solid objects present potential hazard for which kart safety systems are not well suited. This rule gives the Solo Safety Steward the option of excluding karts without having to declare the site unsafe for everyone. It is up to the judgment of the Solo Safety Steward whether the course design, surface, solid objects, and type of karts running present an unsafe mix. In most cases, the situation can be resolved by a course design change.
