  • Current State of OMA

Many Bothans died to bring us this information. It looks as though the main lot is not yet completed at this time. I did not see any change to the old grid area, nor any change to our current paddock / horseshoe grid area :

Probably means my tires wear out faster.

I hope your site fares better than Milton Frank. Should be interesting for N vs. S. Northerners have more experience on ice.
Looking at the photos there is more texture than MFS has so the sealer might not be as thick.

That sealer is slick, especially when wet/hot. And it smells bad when you get some tire smoke.

That's awesome, especially now that it's summer and it rains everyday.

Who wants to chip in to buy our own facility? All we need is some land and Brandon Davis to kick in all the asphalt. I'll put up $100.00 American to go towards the deal. Who's in?

              Seconded!

I should be able to swing by this weekend for more pics to see how it's progressing.

How about everyone just be glad that we have a site to autocross on? Or you could drive to Atlanta or Wiregrass or TVR.

                  We're just funnin'.

Hopefully the sealant will help eliminate some of the degradation of the surface. (Less sand)

With the sealer, won't you see a greater adhesion difference (and raw time difference) between actual street tires and the R compound (or extreme street) tires?

                          Saturday, June 28th's Update

Looks like the sealant is over to the Civic Center's parking spaces now. The parking lines are getting done. The cracks are filled in. The paddock area doesn't look touched and I didn't get to look at the old grid area.

Looks like it will take a lot less Tim with the blower now. And if it's a little slicker, Yea! I'd rather be sideways than fast any day (and I usually am).
