Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

  • SEDIV Solo Update

The SEDIV Solo Series will be holding two events this year. Check out the new website, www.sedivsolo.com

July 26-27, 2014 - Eastern Tennessee Region SCCA
    Aug 23-24, 2014 - Atlanta Region SCCA

There has been a change in the format of the races. The "match tour" format has been dropped and put in its place is a "rally-x" format. Each event will consist of two courses. A driver's best three times will be added together from the two courses (6 total timed runs) and that total will be used to determine the final standings. A DNF will constitute your slowest run +10 seconds.

This type of format awards consistency and cleanliness out on course. Each course will have a minimum of 4 runs for each driver, maybe more depending on the schedule. But only your 3 fastest runs will count on each course.

Unfortunately, we (ALSCCA) are having an event on July 27, 2014 which will be the South portion of our annual North v. South event with TVR.

So glad they dropped the math tour format. This sounds great, plus one for the sandbox...

It's more of, showing support for the division when they do something right. Had the Divisional been a Match Tour format I would not go. I would show my dissatisfaction by staying at home. But since they've come up with a really cool idea for the scoring I want to show my support. It sucks that it's on the same day as our annual tail whippin' but it's also on the same weekend as the Pro Tour in Wilmington. That will hurt participation as well.

I fully understand the rationale btw. Hopefully next year we can host a divisional event.

Why not pick another date than 7/26. That's the Pro Solo weekend in Wilmington also. The next weekend is the Tour in Wilmington. Acres of concrete...

The 26th had been on our schedule all along. If we lose the 12th due to the paving project it is the only logical choice for NvS given the TVR date. Not sure if NvS *has* to be in July. Is there another set of adjacent dates?

Actually TVR decided the dates for NvsS this year, and we decided that we needed to use the later of our two dates in July as the paving would be going on before hand.
