Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

    Truck, Trailer, Equipment and such

    It is time to do a little inventory and general tidy up of the truck, trailer and equipment. We are planning this for Sunday February 8th. Location to be determined. We have not set a time. I thought we would wait until folks volunteer to help to set that.

    I don't know if I will be able to make it but I will try if your buying the beer, in case you didn't know the SOLO chair buys the beer for the trailer party. In fact I think Ricky brought snacks girly magazines as well.

    I have the inventory from 11/25/2006 and 12/8/2007 if you would like a copy of it let me know. It makes it a lot easier to do the inventory if you have a printed copy from the previous year.

          This might be a good time to check all the race flag sets to see if they're complete. I know some of the sets were scattered around in the van a bit because of varying needs of different programs using them.

          I'd come and help, except I'm commited to another event out of town.

                  I need to check to make sure I haven't committed myself otherwise .I will say this ...I have this printer I am donating to solo ,but ,the person possessing and running the laptops for T&S needs to have this so that he or she can download the necessary software and install the printer on the laptop and make sure its good to go before the event .Someone needs to arrange to get it from me .

                    How did we get 12 passing flags?

                    I'm thinkin' we got somewhere between 5 and 7 sets from some supplier, (enough for the old TGPR configuration) plus a checker and a green (or maybe 2 of each.) I think Joe S. handled the purchase, so he may recall how many we bought.

                    Some of the black flags should be meatballs.

                    It looks like most of the RR red flags migrated to the stock of Solo flags, which I assume are listed elsewhere in the inventory.

                    Each bag came with 2 yellows, 1 red, 1 black, 1 meatball, 1 blue, 1 surface and 1 white, IIRC.

                      Not sure if this should be noted here, but the printer did not function for the last 2 events last season. I'm pretty sure it's time for a new one as the old one hit the floor a few times. Should we get a new one and install/test on the 8th? I would also like to revisit the registration issue on the timing machine and see if we can get it consolidated for simplicity.

                        Sounds like Ricky is donating one. I probably have an old one too if it is needed.

                            I repaired most of the EZ-UP's last year I have about 2/3 of one at the house and some parts. I'll continue to repair them or turn the parts over to some one else if you want. I hate to make this suggestion but the people that set them up should take them down. The reason they keep getting torn up is the people on the stations don't know how to let them down.

                              Thanks for the repair work. We will check them all at the inventory event. I'll make note of the up and down thing.
