Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

  • Honda Repair in B'Ham area?

I posted in services needed, but I'm not sure that area gets much traffic...

Any recommendations for a Honda repair shop in B'Ham?

My daughter hit something in the road with her 2006 Honda Civic hybrid. Under the car I can see the shipping toe/tie-down hook is bent back flat. There is a pretty significant rumbling when the motor is running, my guess is motor mounts. There is also a engine oil leak, don't know if she cracked something or if its a seal.

Update: She took it to Firestone today (Monday) and they said they couldn't fix it and that it shouldn't be driven.

Thank you John, the latest info says it's a bent sub-frame, so looks like we're headed to an insurance approved body shop :-/

how about a Honda dealer? Tameron comes to mind. You dont want just any run of the mill bodyshop working on a hybrid. As far as recomended body shops ...Watkins Body Shop or 280 paint and body come to mind....but Id be more inclined to let Honda handle it due to the fact it sounds more mechanical than cosmetic.

Thanks Ricky, this fell on Insurance so C & M Collision downtown handled it. New engine cradle and time on the frame machine. All better now.
