If I'm reading this right, B-Street Prepared cars would run with C-Street Prepared? Somehow that just doesn't seem right? What, not enough BSPers' out there?

No, stock cars don't necessarily move the corresponding street prepared class. If they did you and Lyle would be in ESP.

Yeah, it's just the Stock classes. It seems to me that they want CSP to be more than Miatas by tossing in the RX8 and the 350Z.

          - The SAC offers the following classing change proposal package for member comment:
          - Move models currently in B Stock into C Stock, merging the two classes.
          - Move models currently in A Stock into B Stock

My thinking is that if they consolidate BS and CS as one class ,then the SP bump ups would probably change also .I could be wrong but If people dont respond then they dont have a say of how it goes .I didnt figure that the BS and CS folks particularly stock miatas would really care for having to run against RX-8's and 350z's which is why I threw it out there .

I think the Mazda MX5 with the MS-R package and the Pontiac Solstice have surpassed
the 99 Miatas in this class and are more on par with the RX8 and 350Z of B-Stock, so
            the grouping makes sense.

Those 99 model Miata owners have a choice of getting a new car or modding what they have and joining the CSP freakshow.

I don't know about BSP and CSP, they seem to be significantly different from their stock counter-parts.

Who cares?! Darryl is going to win everything anyway.

Darryl's car is going to clean up in CSP this year, I'm just afraid I won't be the one behind wheel.

Yeah, many cars hop classes when they go to SP ... the Evo, for instance, hops to BSP from AS (currently). These changes might actually bring many cars in line like this ... Evo and STi from AS to BS to match BSP.

There has been talk of putting some slower CS cars into ES with the older Miatas and older MR2s. It would be a good place for all Miatas except MS-R and all MR2s. The newest class winning cars in ES are 15 years old

Over time, the newer cars with better performance potential have to push the older cars closer and closer to HS. This is very unfortunate if you are already in HS.

Seems like these proposed changes would be great if you are in already in an AS or BS car. Seems unfair to current CS drivers. Looks bad for anyone in CS, especially if they're not in a Miata. Also, I'm assuming those cars moving into AS came from SS?

I think some of the classes are meant to divide "sporty" cars from the grocery getters, so the sporty types don't get PO'd when they lose to grandma's car, so that complicates the process, too.

I think a couple were unclassed and some were SP only cars.I gotta go back and check.
