I was contacted via Facebook about my items. The person apologized and has offered to compensate me for the items. Very stand up act by the guy, all is good.

Good to hear. An honest mistake is one thing...destroying somebody's "stuff" and driving off is something else.

Actually that is good that someone 'fessed up to running over your stuff. Good for them.

That still doesn't absolve those who skip out on work but reap the benefit of fun-runs.

I learned to not park (and leave my stuff) in the middle of the lot about 20 years ago, when I ran over a guy's t-top, spare tire and some other stuff, which he had set on the ground between our cars before he drove away.

My insurance covered those losses, but didn't help when he had a flat tire on his MR-2, that day, also. . .
