Not the case. I'm just trying to figure out if you can or cannot remove interior trim. This way I don't get papers thrown at me at nationals. I've heard too many things from different people. Those who compete at nationals in SM and win stuff. One says one thing, one says another. I was only looking for clarification. Plastic isn't that heavy.

I think you just found your answer Heath.

If it is of no discernible weight, there is no advantage to remove it but a huge risk to remove it and find out at a tour you cannot?

Leave it in place. Surely there isn't a rule stating you MUST remove it.

Heath wouldn't embarrass our region at a tour, he does an exemplar job locally.

As we have all found, Internet opinions are pretty much worthless, esp regarding SCCA rules. multiple careful readings of the rulebook will reveal how most of it works in the end. anything still not clear, write a letter asking for clarification and you will get an answer.

hurts my heart. I see the puddin part I'll be sure to black flag you every session this weekend so you must live in the pits

So it's known, my trunk plastics/carpets are back in the car. I'm SM legal to the core. I honestly wasn't trying to cheat. I just wanted clarification; that's all. If I wanted to cheat I wouldn't post it on the boards lol. Thanks folks.
