Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

What a great day for some cone dodging! John Waight set up a rather lovely course today, utilizing the space well, while keeping a smooth flow and rhythm. We had a good turnout, with enough drivers to do the ever popular three run group format, which really helps move things along.

Thanks to the setup and the clean up crew, and everyone that made today happen. Also, thank you to the weather for being awesome, as it was nice and warm, but not hot! Beautiful day.

Congrats to our fast drivers John W., Brandon D., and Darryl E. for taking the top raw times of the day, and to W8 again, Dennis S. and Rod H. for taking the top PAX times. Also, I'd like to give a shout out to Sam C. for giving me a great challenge in XP. Lots of fun with the back and forth!

SM was dramatic as usual, with some not-so-great news for the Tongsuvone clan. Heath was lightning fast today, while the Silver Bullet of Team Tongsuvone experienced a mechanical during a critical point during the battle. Looks like they'll return in Ole Blue next event, while they do some work to their fallen machine.

Finally, we had a great novice turn out today, with 24 novice drivers! Great driving as usual from Roger S., who took the win by a substantial margin.

When can we do all this again?

Totally agree Nick. Also Yoder was awesome at filling some dead air. Been a few months since I've been able to get to an event so today was extra fun. Sorry Chasit had a mechanical.

Good day.. good day. The course required some patience in several places, i liked it. It was a close day as usual in SM, I just lucked up and had an exceptional day. Hard luck for C and Sara. We will get them up and running for the next event! I noticed Rod put down some super fast time in the RSX today too. The new tire psych battle was HILARIOUS hahaha I was cracking up when I saw the "new tire" taped on Brandon's tires lol good stuff. Never can seem to catch John, Darryl or Brandon... maybe one day.

      Good day amongst the cones!

It was a great course, one of the best uses of the small amount of asphalt we have. It was technical, flowing and fast. Patience may be a virtue put having balls goes a long way. The last half was scary fast and if you weren't scared you weren't holding down the correct peddle.

John W8 cheated and showed up on stickers... Brandon cheats by having the torques... The torques are not fair!!1!

Congrats to Nick and Heath for their class wins! Lots of great battles happening in the 3rd run group. Watching Darryl and John battle against Brandon in the Vette was awesome as well, congrats to all those guys! Almost makes me want some slicks for my car, ha!

I had a blast as well, even if my car pissed me off in the morning. The course was fun and I agree the last half was scary fast if you kept your foot in it. I think I was making up most of my time there as my car was having problems shifting to 2nd after that tight turn at the start. My best times came when I short shifted before the cone and just let it lug 2nd gear out of that corner, then I was damn near flat down the sweeper into the slalom. I've already done some research and it looks like worn motor and trans mounts have caused similar, if not identical problems, on many other E36 cars. I'm figuring out the best option for the car and hopefully have them replaced by the PDX if BimmerWorld gets the good motor mounts back in stock soon.

Travel is fun, but I'm really glad when I catch the rare correct weekend and make it out to an autocross. Great to see everyone today. Natasha and I had a great time!

I hadn't looked around the paddock, so I didn't notice these, at first.

I saw the first one on course, and thought, "Cool. I probably haven't seen one of those in competition since our TT at the Superspeedway in 2001."

The second one came out, and I thought, "Hmm. I don't think I've ever seen two in the same place at once."

Then the third one came out. . .

It was nice to see you guys out there, actually driving these cars, instead of standing around looking at them in a parking lot.

I saw one at the gas station before I got there that morning and gave him a thumbs up and thought "Man I wish he would come race with us" then I pulled in to sign the waiver and he was 2 cars ahead of me lol. Good stuff.

I love when people race their race cars... hard to believe but I know some folks that have their "race" cars but never make it to the race.. only parked hardcore in the lot yo... hurts the brain.
