Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

I will be there in a stock Accord V6 driving on a set of Rivals for Saturday. Sunday I will be here as well. First trip up to Huntsville, so I'm excited to see how that turns out!

Also, what is the stock class for an Accord? Is it HS?

      Later!

I looked it up for you. V6 Accord is in GS. 4 cylinder Accords are in HS.

            No.

4 cylinder Accords are HS or STF
            V6 is GS
V6 up to 3.1 liter displacement is STC
            V6 above 3.1 is STX

Y'all do know the rulebook is on the SCCA website, right?

Huntsville doesn't give the 0.975 tire multiplier so you might get a better PAX running in an ST class there then running Tire in Bham. Make sure you pick the best PAX class for both locations.

So they don't have RTF, RTR, and RTA? They are national classes after all. I know they don't have a tire index for other classes (SP classes for example), but surely they recognize these three!

I've never seen anyone run those classes (RTF, RTR, RTA) up north and I don't think they're on the registration list.

They have a "tire" class to allow those on street tires to run together using PAX for that class but you get no Tire multiplier benefits. I ran Tire BSP and still just got the BSP PAX vs others running stock classes and getting their normal stock PAX times.

Well we have a lightly prepared stock Accord we could bring. What is allowed in STX?

If you're going to ask that question, then you deserve this answer: read the rule book

It would be easier if you define "lightly prepared"

Don't worry about it, Rod. I don't think Vince can score any points in Huntsville in a "stock" Accord no matter how "prepared" it is. I mean, as a daily driver, sure, they're great, but as a race car? Might as well get a Cadillac!

Our northern brothers don't have to observer the SCCA rules as they don't run under that banner. While we can make up all the classes we want we (ALSCCA) are supposed to support all the national classes.
