Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

    2009 solo schedule?

    Wiregrass has an event in just over a week. The new season is upon us already??? Wow!

    I haven't seen anything about the ALSCCA solo schedule for 2009 - is that in the works or is it somewhere out there?

    You might better go and check that "wiregrass event".I thnk you will find that it is a gulf coast event .4 hour haul for 5 minutes of seat time ...nay nay.The Schedule will not be final for another month .

    There should be a test n tune announced soon by your new solo chair ...Jamie Holladay.If it is as in years passed.....Should be early to mid Feb.09.

      FWIW, creating a event schedule is like walking blind-folded through a mine field. No matter where you go there is a possible conflict. AL and TVR have shared 2009 event dates but we both have to wait to see what the SE Division is going to do.

        I'm going to the Wiregrass event this weekend.
        I'm in Montgomery so for me its about the same distance to Dothan as it is to Birmingham, maybe a little less actually.
        I think I'll bounce between the two regions as much as I can this year to get as much seat time as possible, or as the car will allow!
        There is a Gulf region event later this month but it is looking like a 3 hr trip one-way and I just can't justify that kind of trek. Getting up 4 hrs. early is just not for me.

          There is a tenative schedule in place. But like Mike said we have to wait until SEDiv does their thing in a couple of weeks. IIRC the T&T date is 15 Febuary 09. That date is hopefully set in stone.

            There is an event at the Wiregrass Region this Sunday (1/11-09) in Dothan at the Hunt Army Airfield. It's concrete and a super fun course. I highly recommend this event! Great people and a great site.

            Very laid back. Last time I was there a helicopter pilot flew in to the air field and asked for a ride. I think he has a new found respect for the g-forces an autocross car can make on race rubber.

                Nope, he didn't ride with me. A helicopter ride around Dothan would've been part of the deal though.
