Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

  • 2013 Solo Information

Here is the place where you will find information for the 2013 Solo Season (autocross, for the uninitiated).

All of our Points Events will be taking place at Oak Mountain Amphitheater in Pelham, AL. We appreciate all that the staff at Oak Mountain Amphitheater do for us, and we hope to keep them happy while we utilize the great facility they have for us.

We have a few new things this year, that have been talked about for a while, and we hope these things will add to the Solo experience you all have been accustomed to from the Alabama Region.

The Solo Supplemental forms are being attached to this thread, and please make sure that you read through these forms, as this is the information that we will always revert back to whenever questions arise (Solo supps pdf). There is also some information for Novices that we have attached, but are good for everyone to read over, even those of you that have been coming to events for years (About Solo pdf).

The calendar this year will look like this:

Test N Tune Open event - February 16th, Sat
Test N Tune Private event - February 17th, Sun
    March 9th, Sat - Pts 1
    March 30th, Sat - Pts 2
April 27th, Sat - Super Solo Shootout, Hoover Met
    May 4th, Sat - Pts 3
    June 1st, Sat - Pts 4
Test N Tune Open event Mid year - June 29, Sat
    June 30th, Sun - Pts 5
    July 27th, Sat - Pts 6
    August 11th, Sun - Pts 7
    September 15th, Sun - Pts 8
    October 20th, Sun - Pts 9
    November 3rd, Sun - Pts 10
    December 14, Sat - Pts 11

We have made a few changes to the way we are handling payments for events this year. For first time participants, $25 will still be the amount you pay. For SCCA Members, if you pay online (at AXWARE) you will pay $30. If you pay at the site, day of event, you will pay $35. For Non members, if you pay online (at AXWARE) you will pay $40. For Non members who pay at the site, you will pay $45. We will still have the Family Discount, and this is explained in the Supplementals.

For the 2013 Season, we are offering another payment option as well. We will be offering a SOLO SEASON PASS, that will allow entry into ALL points events and OPEN Test n Tune Events for $250. This SOLO SEASON PASS will be available for purchase through Points Event 4. Make sure you are logged in to Axware before you can access the Club Store in "my controls"

    About Solo.pdf

RAW TIME CHAMPIONSHIP (RTC) and EVENT RAW/PAX PAYOUTS (ERPP)
We will have TWO new events for participants to look forward to this season. For 2013 we will have the Raw Time Championship and Event RAW/PAX Payouts, in addition to our Class Championships/Event winners.

The explanations are in more detail on the Supplemental attachment. But for a brief overview:

The RTC will be an 11 event Championship, with NO drops; that will be the accumulation of points based upon the top 15 finishers in each ALSCCA Points Event RAW standings. The Points breakdown is listed in detail in the Supps. This Championship will be awarded at the end of the 2013 Season to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Raw Time podium finishers. The Championship will be a CASH payout championship. Only SCCA Members will be eligible to participate in the Championship. Membership status must be granted by Points Event 5.

    1st Place - $500
    2nd Place - $250
    3rd Place - $100

The ERPP will be a Payout at EVERY Points Event that ALSCCA holds. Anyone, regardless of membership status, will be eligible for the Payment. The top 3 finishers in RAW standings and PAX standings will be awarded payment during the Trophy Presentation. You must be in Person to accept your payment, it will otherwise be forfeited.

    1st Place - $25
    2nd Place - $15
    3rd Place - $10

We hope that you all are excited as we are about the 2013 Season. We hope these changes bring in more participants from outside regions, as well as Participants from our own local area. Please make sure that you spread the word about our events.
