Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

  • 2012 Autocross in review

So another year in Solo (autocross to the uninitiated Secret Club members) has been put in the books. We averaged 65 attendees per event this year, with a total of 169 different people participating in our events.

Mark and I will once again be taking the reigns as Solo Co-Chairpersons. We will be making some changes for 2013 as we review our progress and go over problems that we have seen and noted ourselves.

You will be seeing several polls popping up over the next month as we gather information to help us determine what direction we plan to take. Please participate in these polls, as you know, if you don't let your voice be heard, then you have no right to complain.

More test-n-tune events please. They're financially good for the club, good for beginners wanting to try in a non-competitive atmosphere, good for experienced driver to get some fine tuning done.

I wholeheartedly agree. Test n tune events have done way more for my driving and nationals preparation than competition events. Not saying the competition events aren't fun, just saying I'd like to have a few more test n tunes, especially if they were conveniently placed before big nationals events.

Test n tune events are fun. I really like the laid-back atmosphere they tend to generate. Plus it's fun to drive everyone else's car

Just what I was thinking, Waight. You really need more time to fine-tune your car. Remember when you got a little understeer for a second through the sweeper at one of the events either this past season or was it 2011?..,yeah, you definitely need to get that car sorted.
