Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

  • SRT tour confirmed for September 16 solo

Some of you may know, some may not. Sean Yoder, one of our members, has been on a two month tour of the US with Dodge's race brand, SRT. The Tour will be coming through Alabama on the 15, 16, and 17th of September. The stop for the 16th, our very own autocross.

SRT will be bringing their vehicles for display, as well as information, and probably giving a few joy rides during the day.

More information about the tour is here: SRT tour 2012

I hope that this will be an exciting addition to our event.

Food for thought, I would definetly have an "open" course cause if any of those Srt cars want to run they a very big and hard to muscle around.
Any benefit for us Srt owners?

Hate to miss this one. Haven't had much luck with the schedule this season.

And Sean says they aren't as hard to handle as you'd think. The 300C Seems to be a favorite.

So Cool! The course will be appropriate for those cars but safe.

Is anyone connected to the local Mopar scene? Sounds like a good time to have an SRT club class.

The Bham Mopar club will be at a Mopar Museum in Alex City on the 15th with the SRT tour. Sean is planning to plug the autocross at that time.

Is this a good event for media possibly? Not sure how big the tour will be and it'll give the club some good publicity.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Thanks so much for letting us bring the cars out and set up our display on the 16th! Jerry mentioned the Viper. If we had one on the tour we would have already killed each other fighting over the keys. Leading to there being, NO TOUR! lol. Really looking forward to seeing everyone!

The SRT Tour is the four of us driving each model of SRT across the country and back again. It's not a caravan with dozens of cars. We will absolutely be promoting the stop on our twitter and instagram feeds @srttour for both. Four cool cars being driven by four very fortunate people. That's the tour!

Don't do anything special with the course because the Tour is showing up.
