Forum will no longer be utilized!
After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.
Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.
What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

Fiat-Chrysler finally sent in the CG numbers to the SCCA. It was good enough for them to drop the Abarth into G-Stock. This should be quite interestingOriginally posted by kilgojr View PostIts SCCA legal, they updated the classes.
Not that it answers your question. But it takes a little off of us.
I probably won't be rocking it too hard being that I'm a bit rusty... Well... ALOT rusty.
I've already got buffing pads in the event "Half Pint" decides to get "tipsy".
To be honest, I've driven both the standard 500 and given the Abarth hell in an effort to see how it behaves. Surprisingly enough, the arse end gives up the ghost before you even get into a point of tipping. This thing will be a crapload of fun... Maybe not the fastest, but fun nonetheless.

Pretty sure that's a negative ghostrider. I just searched the entire July Fastrack and it only mentions them as classified in CS. I saw a comment posted earlier today that said the STAC/SEB has not yet made the STR/STX decision on the Toybarus.Originally posted by Erv View PostFrs brz is stx according to the newest ftRod H

As I keep telling folks, STR may stand for street touring roadster, but they are not all roadsters. Several tin tops are in the class with my favorite being the BMW M Coupe "clown shoe". It also includes the 350z, several Porsches, & some RX-7s. I think people get confused 'cause the only STR cars they ever see are Miatas & S2000s.Originally posted by Erv View PostStr is a nomination class, and it stands for street touring roadster. Maybe its what was told to me at natsthough swore I read it though.
All of Street Touring are nomination classes now, it's just that a few have a NOC allowance (and the NOC cars are not eligible for nationals). STX is the most commonly mentioned destination for Toybarus, but STR would not suprise me. On paper it looks a lot like the rest of the class.Last edited by rodhx; 06-28-2012, 06:29 AM.Rod H

I just saw Scott's post. Who is going to be taking pictures this Saturday? If somebody will get a picture of Scott Evans in his little Fiat 500 eating kiwi, I'll buy a copy and hang it in my den.Originally posted by ShagnWRX View PostPreferably hydrated fruits like kiwi and the such.

Abarth 500 - GS
Somebody has to mess with him. When I sold my ground-shaking, torque-monster Mustang and bought a 'girly' Miata, the SM crowd gave me hell for at least a year, especially Sara. Now Scott Evans, after more than a decade of owning various, modified STi's decides to buy a tiny Fiat 500, names it "Half Pint" and nobody messes with him? Really?
With a name like "Half-Pint", that thing better be quick, Scott. Looking forward to riding with you on a couple of runs.

The ABARTH will be quick. I have first hand knowledge of that. The question is how much rust does Scott have to knock off or is there so much rust the chassis can't be saved? : )

Please be prepared yanks..
24 Hours til whipping time. This means you may want to wear and extra pair of shorts under your jeans or bring 2 wallets. Heck maybe even a book under there because it's gonna be pretty bad. Maybe a box of bandages and some extra ice to nurse those wounds.

Symptoms of Dehydration in Adults
The signs and symptoms of dehydration in adults range from minor to severe. Mild to moderate dehydration may include the following:
Increased thirst
Dry mouth
Tired or sleepy
Decreased urine output
Urine is low volume and more yellowish than normal
Headache
Dry skin
Dizziness
Few or no tears
The above symptoms may quickly worsen to indicate severe dehydration with signs and symptoms as follows:
Severely decreased urine output or no urine output. The urine, if any, produced is concentrated and a deep yellow or amber color.
Dizziness or lightheadedness that does not allow the person to stand or walk normally.
Blood pressure drops when the person tries to stand after lying down (low blood pressure)
Rapid heart rate
Fever
*Poor skin elasticity (skin slowly sinks back to its normal position when pinched)
Lethargy, confusion, or coma
Seizure
Shock
*This is something I have been in a habit of doing for years. Try it on the back of your hand when you know you are well hydrated to know what normal is.

You should have to pee at least once in the middle of the day tomorrow. If you don't pee, you haven't drank enough water.M. Cholewa
Because they heard I liked my name, so they put my name as my name so I could have my name in my name... all the time.
