If you login at SCCA.com, you can click on Member Home, My Membership and you will see all of your current and some past licenses. If it's there, it's the same as having the license in hand, IIRC, so check just before the event, if you haven't received your new license. My page has a listing that looks a bit like this, except it's formatted a lot better:
