Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

Nope. Darryl is correct on the lettering but that's no biggie for local events.

Well, the real problem here is that driving around in a SMurF class Ford is like taking a Sunday drive. So you put the windows down, turn up the tunes and put your arm out the window. Maybe even take some pictures of the elephants as you pass them by. Its an easy mistake.

Looks like a handheld camera and an arm out of the window. I know we notified grid of a few violations similar to this on both Saturday and Sunday.

Congrats to Evan he is our winner of the day. Arm out the window AND holding a camera.

If this had been a regular event that would have resulted in a driver notification (warning) and a second occurrence would have resulted in a DQ.

Thanks for playing the Safety Steward game.

(Sorry no prizes this is a low budget game.)

                        What Matt said.

I guess it's time to remind the starter to double check for these kinds of shennanigans. Grid too.

                        Helmet - check
Arm Bands - check (yes, both to ride, orange and blue)
                        12 or over - check
no hand held cameras - check

*DING**DING* Please keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle while the ride is in motion *DING**DING*

I was working the exit gate and saw him with his arm out the window during a run. I told him to keep his arms inside the vehicle as he passed, though it is very probable he did not hear me; after all, he was in a loud car and wearing a helmet. Sorry I didn't catch it sooner and make my message clearer.
