Changed Carly's oil and replaced a silly clamp on the top radiator hose.

There's also this noise... maybe someone here can tell me what it is.

If you grab the axle on one wheel, and spin it around (in the front) or shake it a bit, you can hear... clunking inside the differential. It's only when you spin one wheel, and it didn't start until after we got new tires installed...

I'm wondering if maybe there's a bearing or something in there that needs to be replaced? I really have no idea, i've never heard a diff make that kind of noise. Could it just need more fluid?

You sure its in the diff? It could be a clunky axle.

I took the wheel off and jiggled the axle (I assumed it was some suspension missing a bushing or something) and I could hear it making noise inside the diff.

Some might call it polishing a turd but I clay barred my E30 today. The panels that still have clear coat look pretty good now. I'm going to try out my porter cable buffer with some cleaner wax and see if I can't get rid of some swirl marks from the previous owners. After that I might actually wax it for the first time since I've owned it.

I've been staring at my primary fuel rail that I bought from a fellow rx7club.com member and trying to find enough day light to get it put back on the RX7. After this, the fuel leak should be fixed!

Doesnt look like I'll be doing much racing this season. More details to come later, but the army doesn't plan around my schedule.

I took my car out today. Completely finished off a set of tires that were mostly gone to start with. I'm REALLY loving my racing seat.

I dun looked at it and contemplated starting it and just letting it sit at idle for a few minutes... then I went back inside.

So to make a long story short my unit has been selected ro become a regional response team. Basically when bad things happen and things go federal we get called. We're tasked with search and rescue (we are firefighters). I'll spend most of the summer in school getting all of the rescue certifications then going somewhere else where we have to prove that we can actually do the job. I should be back around fall though so maybe I'll still get to play. Sorry Matt, you need to voluntold someone to be your protégée
