Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

The Evolution Performance Driving School set to debut a new Solo Event Format for the 2012 Season

The Evolution Performance Driving School, the number one name in driver’s education since 1993 is set to debut a new solo event format for 2012, the Evolution Super Shootout. This two-day event is a hybrid between SCCA’s National Tour and Pro Solo formats, and takes a portion of each entry and places it into a prize fund to be distributed to the top 10% of the Sunday Super Shootout winners. This format has Howard Duncan VP SCCA Rally/Solo very excited about the possibilities, and we at Evolution look at this as a great opportunity to build the sport, by providing this stepping stone to SCCA National Level Solo.

The Evolution Super Shootout features a four run event where all class winners and 32 of the 64 Super Shootout qualifiers are determined. These top 32 qualifiers are determined from the events overall PAX results, and are then locked into their positions for the Sunday Super Shootout. Once these folks are locked in, the rest of the competitors get a second chance at the Super Shootout with our Last Chance Qualifier. The LCQ allows these remaining competitors two runs to try and position their self into the top 48 positions in the PAX. Following the LCQ the top four ladies class competitors are brought into the Super Shootout bringing the total number thus far to 52. The remaining 12 Super Shootout positions will be from a random drawing of any that have not made the top 52 spots, bringing the total to 64.

With the Super Shootout field complete, we break the 64 competitors into a four bracket system, with the top 4 qualifiers taking the number one seed in each bracket. The first round of each bracket will allow one warm up run before the money rounds start. The Super Shootout will also run on a PAX system where each pairing will run heads up with the winner advancing to the next round, and the winners of each bracket running for the top spot worth over $2,500 in cash and prizes.

The following is a tentative schedule for the Evolution Super Shootouts:

April 21-22 ZMax Dragway Concord, NC TSCC CCRSCCA
May 5-6 Atlanta Motor Speedway Hampton, GA Atlanta Region SCCA
June 30-July 1 Dover International Raceway Dover, DE Philly SCCA
    Additional Date(s) TBA

Look for more information in the coming weeks at www.evoschool.com as well as www.facebook.com/evolution. We look forward to see you all on course!

Because they heard I liked my name, so they put my name as my name so I could have my name in my name... all the time.

I would like to go to this myself. It looks like my trips will be Dixie Tour, Atlanta Shootout, Blytheville Pro, then the Blytheville Tour. I think I had rather try the shootout thing than go to he SeDiv. What do you think John W8?

Hey Jordan! I hear GS also has a great PAX, and depending on the course, can be better than HS...

OMG Nationals is totally worth every penny. Seriously.

I'm thinking Atlanta Shootout, Blytheville National Tour, Nationals for sure... and maybe Dixie, SE Div, or Blytheville pro. Depending on finances and time off and such
