Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

    Points 9 worker thread

    2011 Points Event no. 9 will be held at Verizon Wireless Music Center, Sunday, October 16. Please post up here for positions on the setup crew.

    For those of you who want to be on the setup crew but have never done it, show up early and get a feel for what is needed. Help out where you can and learn from those who are there. These are your events, if you want them to be great, help to make them great.

          The Hardimans will be there. I can be a SSS, but we really need someone else who has finished their paperwork to step up and get some events under their belt. They are going to need it when it comes time to renew their SSS license.

            Katie and I plan to be there. We can work registration.

            Also, I have one of the timing lights with me for repairs. It's fixed and I will bring it on Sunday.

            For the equipment setup people, we really need to be careful with this equipment. The mount was cross threaded in to the timing light last event, which broke one of the mounts and damaged the threads on the light.

            When setting up this equipment, please be careful to not cross thread the mounts or over tighten anything. We have purchased some tripods to mount the lights on, which will be more stable than the old mounts, but the "locks" on these tripods are plastic and fragile. they will break if overtightened.

            I tested these on Saturday and they require very little tension to hold firm and are much easier to aim than the old mounts.

                  if you'd like to also show up earlier you can help out with Registration as well. I know that Micheal Cholewa will not be there for this event and I'm sure Matt and Katie would not mind the help.

                            Don't know if I'll be able to make this one. Looks like the RX7 won't be ready yet and I may have to work. I will keep everyone posted.

                              They showed me how to do all that last time too. I plan to be there around 7-7:30 to help where needed for registration.
