You read that right, Goodyear is taking on the likes of Hoosier and the rest. It looks like they are approved (meet 13.3 of the rules) and they will be offering contingency.

I have heard and read about this mythical tire for over a year and a half... Never ever seen one in captivity.... Be interesting if it really exists...

They've apparently been available in the RC compound, with the ACs just making it to a few race-tire retailers not too long ago. Not a lot of info out there, but a little competition never hurt anyone.

Well, unless you include the wallet. Then it hurts a lot.

Rumor mill has it that Carroll Shelby Enterprises (Goodyear Race Tire's "western states" distributor) has them in stock.

Pricing looks in between hoosiers and kumhos for my size...
