  • Solo Points #1 worker assignments

Okay autocrossers, its time for the real fun to begin. We had an excellent turnout for our Test N Tune event, and I thank everyone for coming out and making that day great. The season is now upon us. SCCA had the first National Tour and the Alabama Region brought home some hardware! Now we need to start thinking about local points and getting ready for the National Tour in Atlanta at the end of April.
2011 Points Event #1 will be held at Verizon Wireless Music Center, Saturday March 26, 2011
Please post up here for positions on the setup crew.

Katie and I will be there. Put us in for on-site registrar and cashier. I believe Cholewa was going to help us this event (as online pre-reg) to test the server/client registration process. Ask before putting him down though.

And, if anyone can pick up some standard 1" Velcro strips, that would be helpful. We have new registration signs. Thanks!

I need to shadow a safety steward at some point for my license. If turnout allows I would like to get that out of the way. Otherwise, I will work where needed.

I can cover a safety steward position. Casey, just hook up with whoever is the SSS during your work session and we can get the shadow out of the way.

I'll be glad to work anywhere I can. Just keep in mind I am not a hundred percent recovered from a knee injury and can't run very fast. Since I am very green at this I will need some guidance. I'll be running NCS whatever running group that turns out to be.

John, sign me up for early set-up. Also, I don't think it would hurt to have a little review session with course workers. Many were running across a hot track, very dangerous, because I don't think they knew what to do since they had not done it before. Charlie

Agreed, we plan to do something for new comers. I think we had a problem with it because we did not have TRUE run groups because it was a Test N Tune. Therefore we didn't specify that an "experienced" worker be at each station. We will make try our hardest to keep the "pucker" factor from the SS when they see cars flying at bodies.
