Agreed. Im glad I got to come today. I didnt stay for the whole time but I still got 4 runs in. It was a good turn out today. Good to see everyone after a long winter. Everyone did a great job getting everything going at a new place.

Just ran across this...Guess we should anticipate an even larger turnout for Points #1.

Good to see you again Jim! We didn't get to talk long due to that massive massive line of cars instead of a grid, but hopefully I'll run into you again soon.

All I can say is thank goodness for all the workers and setup crew!!!!

It was a great event. Sure there are kinks to work out, but that is all that can be expected from a new event site. Our events will only get better, and I hope that you all will continue to come out and bring your friends with you.

It was a great turn out in deed!

My autocross smile was almost as BIG as my rallycross smile. I really did enjoy myself today & im finding a sweet spot in my heart for autocross....

Mostly because of the close & tight group of racers & workers that give 110% to the program. I admire the positive attitude everyone has towards each other.

Now I need to figure out what class to run in this year & what car to run.

Yes, It was an awesome turnout! And again thanks sooo much to John and Mark Kilgore for organizing. I also got to fill in a spectator while picking up cones at the end of the day, so maybe we'll get even more from that publicity. Also, it might be worth mentioning how we are going to run the actual points runs at this next event.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Points events will be run as they always have been. We will have run groups/work groups that are determined by the number of participants we have. I think that we have an excellent opportunity at this site. We have kicked off the year with a bang and we need to continue this momentum. Thank you all for your help with setting up and recruiting new members.

I just want to say, I had a freaking blast. I had high expectations for the fun level, and they were surpassed. I'm glad I got to meet several of you guys today. Everyone seems really cool. I am most certainly coming back again and again, and I'm happy to have found another way to feed my addiction of driving!

                            Time for good tires!

I was pleased to kick off the season with an annual tech and a chance to get my SSS license renewed.

I wasn't agressive enough and patient enough to get in as many runs as some folks did, but I got a good taste of another fun, easy-to-follow McCool course. There were some rough edges, but that's to be expected with a new venue and new folks in charge. A great bunch of volunteers got it going and kept it going, as usual. This should be another year to remember for ALSCCA Solo.
