Forum will no longer be utilized!
After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.
Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.
What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

Charlie, we only put the standard worker assignments up on Axware. The setup crew, etc is done through a Forum post in the Solo Section.John Kilgore...if winning was easy, losers would do it.

Early results show the new site may already be a hit. 29 folks registered and we are 10 days from the event. Not only that, but several Mississippi Region drivers are signed up and making the trip over, giving us representation from at least three SCCA Regions.

Hey Vince, after our discussion I looked up the ST classes. Doesn't look like the pony is eligible for STR nationally because it is a "closed" class (in that it lists the cars eligible) so your options for a Street class is STX or STU. The difference would be tire size...STX limits you to a 265mm tire and STU limits you to a 285mm tire.Originally posted by 87RX7RACER View PostLOL, yeah I screwed up. Guess I will run by myself this year.
The other option would be to run Tire Pax and use your stock PAX numbers, or see if the STR boys will let you play in their sandbox.John Kilgore...if winning was easy, losers would do it.

BTW...STR is the model for the Street Touring re-org proposed for 2012. Each class will have an inclusion list of cars (no more formula-based classes) and cars will no longer be eligible for more than one class. When STR was created last year it was for a set of vehicles which were previously excluded from all ST classes.Rod H

No one runs STX or STU in our region. Katie is an STX car but runs in ST on local rules. Maybe the ST guys would let Vince play too?Matt W.

That sounds like a bit of a stretch to me. The GTI was more logical local inclusion. The Mustang has a lot more power than anything in ST. There have been STX/STU cars in novice...do we expect any of them to come back?
David McFall in XP has been looking for a regular competitor. And there's always SM

Most of the STU cars in N were actually SP cars. Not sure on the STX competitors. I think Dylan may have started in STX but was also illegal due to boost changes. He's in SM this season in a S4.Matt W.

I'll move to Tire Pax for the season if Katie and Vincent (others?) want to join. I think a bunch of people have been avoiding it because they didn't want to be alone there.Erik B.
Why do I keep racing these weird cars?
Why can't I just get a miata and be happy?
