Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

  • 2011 Solo Schedule (autocross)

I know it has been a long time coming, and there have been rumors flying about the 2011 season. Well, it is now time to unveil the calender. drum roll please.......................

On behalf of ALSCCA region NO. 1, Mark and John Kilgore, and our fearless RE Ricky Ragan, we present to you the 10 Points Challenge events for the 2011 Solo Season NOW BEING HELD AT

THE VERIZON WIRELESS AMPHITHEATER IN PELHAM, AL

    Test N Tune - Feb 27 Sunday
    Points 1 - Mar 26 Saturday
    Points 2 - Apr 17 Sunday
    Points 3 - May 14 Saturday
Points 4 - Jun 18 Saturday ***note changed event date
    Points 5 - Jul 10 Sunday
Points 6 - Jul 23 Saturday ***note changed event date
    Points 7 - Aug 21 Sunday
    Points 8 - Sep 18 Sunday
    Points 9 - Oct 16 Sunday
    Points 10 - Nov 13 Sunday

We will be utilizing the East parking lot of the Verizon Wireless Center as our Spectator, Driver, and Trailer Parking. We will be utilizing all 1100 x 400 feet of the smooth flat *asphalt* surface of the West parking lot as the solo course area. We will have access to the main Verizon facility for restrooms, and ofcourse the plethora of shopping and eating areas right across the street.

If your family doesn't find a day of autocross as enjoyable as the rest of us, bring them anyway. There are plenty of shops within walking distance and the Pelham Civic Complex has two ice skating arenas on the same property as the Amphitheater.

I hope that everyone is very excited about this opportunity we have. Please share this news with all of your friends. We need as many people as we can get coming out to these events and supporting our Solo program.

We have tailored this schedule to allow people from all over the Southeast region to have a weekend at a fantastic site one or two weeks before all the major Tours and National events in the Southeast.

Thanks for your time, and Get The GOOD TIRES READY!!!!

      YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!!!

Thank you so much for making this happen!!! Thanks to our Solo chairs last for getting this ball rolling and thanks to our current solo chairs for getting us a new AWESOME site!!!! I'm SO excited about this season, it's been a long time coming it seems like.

Please everyone do you best to drag your buddies out to try this great sport. This is a prime time to grow our solo program back to where it used to be with 90-100 cars per event. I know we lost a good many regulars and out of towners due to our not so wonderful pavement but now that we have a top notch site again we need to take full advantge. Time to spread the word!

      Thanks again guys!!!!!!
