Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

Nope, both sets are 15". Went from 6" stock wheels & 195/50s to 9" with 225/45s.

Well, Rod will be the first entrant into our new Stance category. 225 on a 9" wheel is a good start. I'm hoping to run a 205 on an 11" wheel, that is definitely the best way to go.

thats weird, because I have a stack of 245/45 17's next to a stack of 2 205 and 2 225/15's and they're the same height.

It's primarily the wheels. These are 50% wider than the stock ones and the 225s are a bit of a stretch on them.

225's on a 9 is almost vortex worthy. If you went with 215's you'd be considered cool over there.

good reason to stay away from 215s then?

Tire Rack says "This is a track-only fitment when matched with a 9" rim width. This size should not be used with a 9" rim width for street use." They actually have a car type for "Mazda Miata SCCA STR Class".

I noticed that when I added the wheel/tires to a shopping cart. Besides, that combo is "Andy Hollis Approved."

Tried the new shoes on tonight. Plenty o'room in the rear and it seems to go lock-to-lock just fine in the front. Soon as I get a chance on a warm day I'll mount all four and see if there is any rubbin'

and yes, the foglight is intentionally missing. It's ST-legal to remove them this year and the Mazda factory fogs are useless anyway.

Looks great, I have the same setup in my shopping kart.

                        EDIT:
I can tell from this pic you are in bad need of a little more negative camber.

Is that for the dog or the car?

You guys are way ahead. I'm still driving the Miata to work when it hasn't been snowing, icy, super cold... Okay I drove it to work on Friday.

Still have to order new tires and a LSD.
