Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

well, I finally crawled under the miata to find out what was clunking @ the last event. The PPF that joins the dif to the trans has a big cast iron spacer on the dif end. That is the piece that broke. It snapped clean through. So, no miata for this event. I was kind of hopeing to see if I could bum a ride in something all wheel drive but it sounds like there won't be anything there. Soooo, does anyone have something they would care to share this sunday?

Bill, You are welcome to try an STS Miata if you'd like to co drive with me. I am 17, so you can get 71 if its available. I guarantee that it will be fast, but it will have BIG numbers on the side.

are your seat & steering wheel stock? I REALLY don't fit in a stock miata. I tried driving lee's & couldn't turn the wheel fast enough because I could only use the top 1/3 or so. My knees got in the way. & yes, I do mean knees, not thighs.

I know that feeling. Take the seat out and a miata is a perfect fit for me.

Bill, sorry I missed your reply last night. I was already sound asleep and just checked the site a minute ago. Unfortunately, my car is a completely stock car, so probably would not have worked for you. Sorry you missed it.
