Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

You'll be surprised. The Kilgores may be your only SM competition.

I appreciate the thought - I need to keep up my game on craigslist and hunt down some mounted r-comps.

competition...lol. I'm happy if I'm within 5 seconds of them on a 10 second course. Hopefully something german and turbo makes it's way up to Huntsville...

I will be running in SM with you. Our times were pretty close from last race if I remember right. You were faster than me though + this next race being a larger track it may favor your car better too.

Ya'll had a pretty darn impressive showing at our event. The preliminary count was 31 folks from AL. We'll have to have a really sharp pencil to come out on top again this year.

Ya the surface was great! I'll be sure to try and make some more runs up north when they don't conflict with BRC.

I was happy with 4th in novice pax. Those new springs and tire pressures worked wonders! It still lacks a bit on the handling but I will work on it more once my driving improves.

Thanks again Cholewa for riding with me and giving great advice. I tried holding it full throttle after the first slalom like you mentioned but it just wouldn't stick. + once I did get to hold it down after a couple gates I noticed that it was around 8500-9000rpms entering the second slalom before the 180 so not much room for anything extra. Or maybe I just wasn't handling it right, perhaps next time you drive :P

I'll wear your helmet, you wear mine... Shhh.. they'll never know!

I see you down as 50 points for region 1 (AL) for the HSV event.
