Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

  • N vs S - Thanks from a newb

I would like to thank everyone for making me feel welcome today as this was my first experience with autoX or SCCA ever and I was rather unsure of myself or what to do. And though I performed atrociously today I had a great time and will be attending future events.

oh yeah, my apologies for leaving immediately after cleanup without so much as a see ya'll - minor family emergency.

now, to get a helmet that freakin fits my head

Welcome to the sickness man. Its all downhill from here .

Thanks for coming out . That is quite a fantastic car you got there. I was afraid you were going to get discouraged after that first run ....I am glad you stayed through to the end . You certainly improved greatly. You should go up to Milton Frank in Huntsville next Sunday.

Thanks, its alot of fun to drive. A little loud inside, but fun none the less.

I did get pretty discouraged after that, but Sara was nice enough to give me some (a whole lot of) help. Huge thanks to her

I would love to come up next Sun, alas I have a prior engagement in the form of my wife's b'day party. I attempted to get her to reschedule so I could go, but after I began talking I decided to shut up in the interest of living.

No worries about the performance man. Autocross is honestly something you have to learn over a period of time. IT's not called a "sea of cones" for nothing, and Sunday's course was a little different than we've run before. It wasn't the most intuitive setup I've seen.

I really enjoyed seeing the car run, and I hope to see you out to more events soon.
