  • Lets Talk " wheel spacers"

So...at the last AX dispite what everybody told me, and how many times I double checked my NEW wheels fitment. It ended up rubbing my rear suspension anyway ( under heavy load aka " the tripod mode".

To fix the problem I had to install a set of wheel spacers, 5mm to be exact. my question is. when I measured I now have a total of 12mm of tread inside the lug nuts instead of 17, and from Google search and other sources. as long as the lenght of studs is same as the width it SHOULD be safe??

    Need opinion please. Thanks C

Do you use a lugnut that is a taper/acorn type fit or a "shank" type nut that goes inside the wheels lugnut holes?

the Shank, which I assume that its the " open end" lug nuts.

Are the lug nuts tapered on the end that touches the wheel?

Measure the diameter of the lugs. Put your wheels on and then measure how much of the lug is sticking out the lug bore in the wheel. If you have as much sticking out of the rim as you have diameter wise you should be good. You should have 5-6 threads minimum showing.

ok, the lug nuts DOES NOT touch the wheels it goes in the hole. I need to take it out and see how much is sticking out. so basicly what you are saying is that. IF I have as much threads as the diameter (width) of the studs itself, Im good. correct??

I'm pretty sure C's wheels use a standard aftermarket tapered seat lug.
