Aimee's in the trophies in FSPL, only 0.104 out of 2nd. Her car owner, Geoff Zimmer, is in 7th in FSP, still a trophy spot, about a second out of 1st place.
The lead car in both classes is from SEDiv, too.
I enjoy watching this class because that's where the ol' Escort fit in, and I've been beaten soundly by both of these cars.

Holy crap! Cavanaugh is 21st with a 65 second run. 65 seconds at those speeds! That course must be friggin huge! Matt Glagola is in at 11th.
That is....... a HUGE course John.My last National in 2008, we were running 44 second times.Bunch of us need to go next year!! I'm pumped up!!! ALSCCA needs to have big showing in 2011.
Good idea Jim. I really want to run at least one national event next year. I'm up for either getting whupped in STR or warming up tires for a real driver

You need to Rod.You are a" real driver" and at Nationals you can learn so much for you and your car.Talking with other drivers all accross the nation,Watching many great drivers, learning new car setups,Learning new driving skills,Oh and most important having FUN!!
If I can convince the wife that funds are needed, I may have a set of wheels and tires to facilitate a run in DSP next year at nationals. I'd really like to run on a different surface. Even if I don't have a chance to be competitive.
Casey, you need to make plans to travel to Huntsville for the North vs. South event in October. It is a lot of fun to caravan up & represent our club in the rivalry, plus you'll get to run at an excellent facility.

I just got off the phone with Bill Cutrer who is a GP competitor of mine From Kanasas who is still at the Nationals.I asked him about how things went, and he said it was so much more organized in Lincoln,Ne. in the 2nd year at this site.I also asked about speed and grip.He said that last year there was a black like film on the pavement, which I remember Mike C. talking about and it was gone.He said the grip was Awesome and that he was running third gear through out the course. Sounds good to me!It will be interesting to hear what Mike C.,Sean and others have to say too..
