Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

  • NORTH vs. SOUTH

Have not heard anyone talking about the yanks vs. rebs, is this still going to happen? If so, where is the smack talk? We will CRUSH them.

I think the official word is that the next event is the SSSSS and the following one will be the war.

Why do I keep racing these weird cars?
Why can't I just get a miata and be happy?

I thought I saw on the TVR site that their remaining events have been moved to Sunday. If that's correct it affects NorthVSouth. I cannot access their site from work for some reason...can someone confirm the plans for the event?

Wally, since you started this thread, does that mean we will be seeing you soon?

You cannot get them- they all have the answering machines up and running. TVR is nowhere to be found except in garages, tieing down cars, hooking-up tow vehicles, packing their tools and sandwiches, and topping off fluids in prep for this weekend at Barbers. I'm sure they will ALL be there. They do racing first, then AutoX and some RallyX as time permits.
Rod is right- will Wally be at the SSSSSSSSSSS and at the N-S war? Inquiring minds need to know.

And Wally, just in case you may have forgotten over time, 1st gear is the one you start with, then shift up the logical progression, and back down as needed. Sure. You're welcome. No problem. Check your oil, too!

Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection ...... again.

I hope this is still a go as I was really looking forward to making it this year ... and destroying them.

There is some discussion about the TVR events. They are having problems with the site at Milton Frank, however I believe that John and Darryl are working out the issues to still have the N vs. S event as planned.

IIRC, the TVR events are now on Sunday as well. Maybe this event will have to be on consecutive weekends.

Date change for Event #9 to Sunday,October 10

The date change to October 10th for the first Round of North vs. South has been approved by BRC. Now to get SCCA to change the insurance!

Mark your calenders!!! Points Event #9 will be on October 10th, 2010 at Birmingham Race Course. This will be the Bham stage of the North vs South event. The following Sunday (10/17) will be the second round of the event in Huntsville at Milton Frank Stadium.

Come out and compete against those Northern interlopers then the following week head north and take the battle to them on their home turf! You earn points for traveling and points based your pax position. Come one, come all to the 2 week Battle Royale between TVR(North) and ALSCCA (South). It's brother against brother, sister against sister, the war to end all..... Not to play it up to big but TVR has whooped us in the traveling department but we whooped them on speed. Help the ALSCCA win the battle. Make plans to be at both events! Your help and speed is needed!

It is very hard to beat TVR's dedication and work factor, but we are faster. Ha Ha Ha Ha---Muhahaha. That ought to get some crap started.
