  • post July 25th solo chatter

I for one had a great time ,I ran my 3 and done and did 2 fun runs then helped work the course and enjoyed seeing and talking to everyone . I appreciate John and Darryl for coming out and doing the event as usual. They have my thanks and admiration .

I was pleased to see all of the novice class drivers as usual and they represented their class in masses again today .

ST was fun and has been that way all year . I was 5th and was 1 second or so off of 1st . Thats great competition .

Thanks to Clay Eric and Rod for coming out and setting up the EXCELLENT course .That course was fantastic .

Thanks to all of the T&S and registration folks who came out and did the usual stellar job they do . That was fantastic . I really appreciate it !

We missed you JIM SHEEHY. I hope all is well.

Great day, more fun than you should be allowed to have in one day. Thanks John W8 for the co-drive in Ol' Yeller, not necessary but very much appreciated. It was hot and fun, beat the hell out of a day playing golf or watching somebody else drive cars.

My absolute worst performance of the year, but possibly the most fun. I really enjoyed the open course layout that allowed for some pretty good speed. Everyone seemed to keep a good attitude and enjoy themselves despite the heat. Now, if August could be just a little bit warmer....

Awesome day today, it was extremely hot, and the long lunch break helped cool things off a bit, but DAMN..

I would like to protest matt williams being 1.5 seconds faster than everybody, obviously the dude is cheating.

I am also still happy with my decision to move into SM.

I never thought that driving a slow, asthmatic, 24 year old car could be SOOO much fun! The GTI performed admirably this weekend, competing in both the Rally-X and Auto-X. Now I just need to get faster in it.

EDIT: Almost forgot...thanks Michael, Katie, and Steven for letting me drive your cars in fun runs.

yea, I had great time too. Can't wait for it to cool off. My only issue was WHAT A SLIPPERY COURSE! Having said that, it was sooo much fun and hard to keep traction. Well, heading to Honda tom. so hopefully I'll still make it next time depending on their schedule.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how far you take the wall with you.

We were in the area, doing some shopping, but decided to continue on our way home rather than stop by and see all the red skin and sweat.

The course yesterday was great. Thanks to Clay and Eric for that. I could NEVER get the last few features right ... I was always loose nearing the finish. Lots of fun trying to nail down that section.

Thanks to Anthony for the fun runs in the S2000. I never imagined that car would be such a handful at the limit. Also, I think I owe you about 3/32 of tire after that first run ...

Ricky ... THANK YOU FOR THE FAN! that made a world of difference in the oven, I mean, trailer yesterday.

Great event John. I heard several people say that they loved the format with 3 and done + fun runs.

Great course!! awesome day, weather aside. I think I'll go for the three runs and done for the summer but in Spring and fall I'd rather assume our normal 6 runs routine.
And yes I'll protest Matt as well. Ha!

Well, I'm going to protest your front right tire! It's obvious that it had been treated with some sort of "super asphalt holding technology" that backfired on you and caused it to wear prematurely. Just 'cause it didn't work, don't mean it ain't cheatin'!

I don't wanna hear it. You have a displacement advantage!

L O frieakin L... I may have a half liter more than you with my fancy extra cylinder, but you've got 4x the amount of wheels driving you in corners, which more than makes up the displacement difference.
And the 28lbs of boost, that does something too.. september, you're goin down..
