Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

    2011 SOLO season

    2011 SOLO season we be here before you know it and we need trained workers before then. John and I will not be chairing events next year so we need some one to step up and learn the ropes. We also need people trained to set up the timing equipment as well as the rest of the equipment in the trailer. A few more that know how to run timing and scoring would be nice as well. This is your club and we need you!

    This weekend would be a good learning opportunity for anyone who will step up and be the 2011 Solo Chair. It's easy, but important work. I've said before that if you know how to get dressed in the morning and know that bills needs to be paid, you can be a solo chair.

    Over the past 6 years I've helped out the previous 4 solo chairs by running events for them when they couldn't be there. With Darryl and Ricky, I have run all but one event this season and we have been having a blast doing it. But, I want to step aside and make room for someone else with different ideas and a different approach to running events and spend
    some time not being responsible.

    Think about it and if you're interested see me, Darryl or Ricky at the event.

      I urge you who are on the verge of going to that next level. Guys and gals...this club absolutely does not run itself. It requires several someones to be "that" guy or gal that steps up there and says I have enjoyed the benefits of the events that "MY" club has put on and I want to do my part to help that continue .

      Lets just talk about the word "CLUB". Define CLUB .When you talk to your friends or coworkers and say ..."I am doing this or that with my car club........"You belong to something and that means something".

      Guys and gals of SCCA....this program is fun,is beneficial,is worthwhile...therefore it needs some leadership for 2011 so you guys and gals really search your souls and see what you can realistically commit to helping with for the 2011 season and start training to do the job.

      I have been a part of solo since 2005 and will not abandon you so I will be a resource as well as the likes of John Waight,Darryl Engle ,and many others.

            WooHoo!!! We have our 2011 Solo Chair!!! Thanks for stepping up, I hope you have as good of a season as John, Ricky and I. Short of John Redd himself coming back, we could not be in better hands.

                      For all of those eagerly awaiting....John and I will be the new solo chairs for 2011. We are excited to try and continue the success and the hard work that Darryl and John W8 put in this past year. They deserve a big round of applause and I hope they enjoy their time off being...what was it?!?!?...."irresponsible"!!!

                      John and I will be working closely with Darryl, John W8, and Ricky over the next few months/events to ensure that we will be ready to go in 2011. Until then, please continue to direct all complaints to the current chair(s)
