Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

    Setup Crew Sign Up Points#6 7/25/10

    It's that time again! The next solo event is coming up quick!
    Points #6 at Birmingham Race Course. Sunday July 25th
    Please post up here for positions on the setup crew.
    For those of you who want to be on the setup crew but have never done it, show up early and get a feel for what is needed. Help out where you can and learn from those who are there. These are your events, if you want them to be great, help to make them great.


    Early Set Up / 6:30a

    #5 Set Up / Clay McCool, if he's available

    Timing and scoring / 7:00a

    Waiver station / 7:00a to drivers meeting is work assignment for the day.

          We only need one registrar but if you'd like to back Matt up, sign up for setup crew and cover him when he needs to walk the course. Meanwhile helping setup other stuff, timing lights, PA etc etc. There are lots of things that need to be done before the event gets going. Your help is appreciated and needed. I'm not picking on anyone but we don't have the demand to warrant 3-4 people in the trailer being registrar/cashier.

                I'll do setup. If no one else want to design the course, I'll do that. But if anyone wants it, a new perspective might be good.

                  I will fill one of the safety steward spots. I will also be there for early setup and can help walk Jordan through it. Zac will not be at this event.

                    I cannot totally commit to SSS due to the fact I will be in Atlanta ,the day before ,all day for the SEdiv midyear meeting, but, I am hoping to be at the autox Sunday morning since its been around 6 weeks since I drove my junk in some cones.

                    Put me up there as a SS tentatively . Ill post up if I cant make it .

                            I'm looking forward to it. I really hope to be there to help and drive. It has been way too long. I have not had an official off day all month and have none scheduled for the rest of the month. But if i am in town, that won't stop me.

                              Thanks everyone! It looks like the list is full but don't let that stop you from coming out and volunteering to help setup. The more hands the easier the work. It looks like it will be a hot weekend coming up...(big surprise) so be sure to bring a big cooler full of ice and plenty of water and gatorade. There will be water available at the event but it goes quickly on hot days so protect yourself and bring some of your own.

                              Ohhh and a side note we have received a new timing display board!!!! Now you can see the time of your run!! Woohoo! A big thanks to the ALSCCA board for the approval to buy a replacement for the stolen board.
