  • Halfway Point of the Season

Can you believe we just had our 5th points event of the season?! Time flies when you're having fun and with the great folks signing up for the Setup Crew and the talented drivers from all over the South East coming to drive with us, we're having a blast!

I just want to take a minute to get it into folks head that we will be accepting nominations for end of year trophies for

Most Improved AutoX Driver: Who stepped up their skills the most?
AutoX Driver of the Year: Who is the best driver out there?
AutoX Worker of the Year: Who do you think works their tail off?
Novice of The Year is determined by the winner of the Novice Class

We usually wait too late to ask for nominations but I'm starting early so we can get a good list of nominees. Once we get a list we'll provide a ballot to vote at the last event. Post up your nominations on this thread with the title for which they deserve consideration.

Speaking of Trophies and Class Championships... If you are competing for a class championship and a year end trophy you MUST compete in at least 6 events in a single class to qualify for the year end championship. You also MUST be an SCCA member for your points to count. I've been keeping up with the points so far this season for everyone member and non member. I get a monthly list from SCCA of who is a member and if by the end of the season if you aren't an SCCA member you're season points will be deleted. Don't waste your points! Sign up today for an SCCA membership.
Current Season Points are attached and are by no means the OFFICIAL points.
These are for informational/entertainment use only. (Look at the Kilgores...tied up in SM for 3rd)

Sign up for your SCCA membership at SCCA.com and make the points you've competed
    for count!

    Thanks!

SM is pretty tight! I like it. And ST is only separated by 2 points for 1st. CSP by only 1 point with 3rd place not far behind.

BTW John, I have the season points as stated by Axware, but just have no place to upload them. I know Axware ORM has the points somewhere, but I can't find them! I'll send you the current file and you can compare the results to your own.

This is going to sound ridiculous, but can you alter the results from this past event and change me to SM? And I'll run SM for the rest of the year, so I have some competition and something to shoot for, instead of getting a trophy for showing up?

Because they heard I liked my name, so they put my name as my name so I could have my name in my name... all the time.

Ummm...I don't think that is allowed. That is like saying you were in charge of the Oil Spill cleanup from day one, even though you didn't show up until day 32. You just can't say you were somewhere you weren't.

But this is a local event and at a minimum, the other people in class ought to decide that, if not the club. If I were in SM, I'd at least demand that you throw out your time for the event, as that would bump one person from their place.

        JMO, FWIW, LOL, AFAIK.

Regarding Cholewa in SM...I am not in SM but I have been and if I was ...I would give him the minimum amount of points you get just for showing up in class which used to be 1 point and give him credit for the event so he can be eligible since he would need this just past event to qualify at the end of the year to be in the running for a 3,2,1 trophy.I say he has no shot but if you SMers are letter of the law folks then you have the perogative to say yay or nay.I would say yay just to totally take him down since he has to be coming to the end of the available heat cycles on those tires of his, plus pretty soon folks will probably start buying GOOD tires if we change venue so IF I HAD A SAY ...Id say yeah, fresh meat ..

I'D like to point out that 1 lone person actually took advantage of the "tire" pax class in 5 events . I actually intended on doing that but after it got no interest .....I dropped mine.Did everyone just forget about this class being an option or what ?

Cholewa signed up for THS once but moved to regular HS when Clay didn't run I think.

As an SMer, I have no problem with moving Cholewa's class and time over for Sunday. I don't speak for everyone though. That's going to be my drop event anyway ... I hope. If it bumps John down, it might be a problem.

I'm ok with giving me the minimum points to say I was there, but since we need 6 events to compete for points, that would be my cutoff. I can live with that. Can you?

If you kept your time, you'd be in 4th in SM. That is fine with me, and I'm the one getting bumped. I will not be complaining at the end of the season if I lose by 1 point because of it.

If John is okay with that, so am I. If the rest of SM needs to chime in, that's cool, but I'm really the only one affected by it currently.

I am fine with whatever!!! The more the merrier. If at the end of the year I don't get a trophy, I think I will be ok after a week or so....

It's a win/win for you man. If you lose, it's just an HS car. If you win, you get to rub everyones face in it. I like it.

Exactly, and it will give me something to strive for. Now I just need to get some new letters.

I'm in for a SM rabbit, he needs to run the damn Volvo anyway!!!!!

And its not like those wheels are HS legal anyway.
John Kilgore...if winning was easy, losers would do it.
