Found these print-outs from my last season at CFLR of Solo courses at a Police training skid-pad we used for some of our events. Since we are now relagated to a smaller space I thought I'd share these with you and see if maybe we could incorporate some features. You'll note the U-shaped "slow-the-hell-down" box I mentioned in another thread here.

That last one is cool. We definitely need to consider the course design to allow 2 cars on course.

Yeah, Points 4 was a lot of fun..but dang it was hot! Plus the faster we get cars through, the more possible fun runs are at the end.

I was thinking about the 1-car-on-course thing trying to understand why the day went so slow. If you think about it, at Points 3 we had to let a car make a 1.5 laps before we could start the next one. So for the two events there was no effective difference in the time to start the next car. The biggest factors yesterday seemed to be the number of participants (39 vs 52 yesterday, better than 25% increase) and duration of the very 1st run group (re-runs, holding start a few times, a red flag, "optionalizing" the 180, etc)

I think there is no significant difference between 1.5 and 2 lap events on the lower lot in terms of when you can start the next car. It is going to be very difficult to squeeze two cars on that lot and have time for workers to chase cones.
