Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

I knew a guy, years ago, who had a first-gen MR2, who managed to fit 4 race tires in the car with him to travel to Solo events for a couple of years. He removed the right seat to do it (ran in a Mod class, IIRC.) Eventually, he broke down and bought a trailer. . .

I knew a guy, many many years ago, in high school, who had a bug-eyed Sprite, who managed to fit a complete trap set drums in it with himself and thats how he arrived at every gig!

Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection ...... again.

Tire trailers are stupid. A light, two seat, open roof car with a tow hitch is no longer a sports car. Race in street trim, or "promote" yourself to trailer queen.
Meanwhile, SM cars running street tires are creeping further and further up the PAX list, and grocery-getters are showing up with 4 tires and a spare in the trunk. SEDAN REVOLUTION!

Why do I keep racing these weird cars?
Why can't I just get a miata and be happy?

No, to hear my wife tell it, People spending thousands of dollars on equipment and tires to race PeePee cars in parking lots is stupid. Everything else is just a degrees of stupid.

By that measure, Tire Trailers are somewhat stupid. But cheaper than trailer and tow vehicle. That is mega-stupid.

And if you have a converted bicycle pit-bike - Off the Chart-stupid!

Trailers aren't stupid. Only the people that use them are stupid! Uh o......
