  • TnT Recap

Wow! What an event. Tons of runs, I think everyone got there fill. Timing and scoring was on the ball, very few if any delays as well as results posted before we got out of the parking lot. I'm pretty sure the first car was off on time, which says a lot for the setup crew. Thanks again to Mike C. for the SSS school. Thanks Eric E. for showing up at O'dark thirty and helping get the cones out on course as well as the devotional. Clay, Sean and company did a great job on the course, a LOT faster than it looked. I heard several positive comments on the new speaker set up, it was nice to be able to hear time all the way from the waver station to the bottom of the paddock (thanks Pop). Thanks *Ricky, John and Wally for getting the equipment back and forth.

*Ricky didn't even get to run but he helped out.

I second the thanks to Mike for the SSS School. I shall do my best to follow through, this time.

On another note, I could hear most of what was going on with the PA clear across the course, on the road, and the radio transmitter seemed to have better coverage, too.

I completely agree. Even though I didn't take many runs, Katie was able to and she kept getting faster and faster ... a whole 2 sec faster than her goal for the day. Jordan and I were also able to get some (persuaded) volunteers some time at the computer and some training on AxWare.

I was great to see the HUGE SS class yesterday as well. I know that many of them took care of their shadowing requirement as well, which is great. Thanks to everyone that stepped up and worked on their SS license and to Mike for giving us the opportunity.

It was really cool to see all the newcomers. Novice class should be at least as hot as last year!

Why do I keep racing these weird cars?
Why can't I just get a miata and be happy?

Thank you everyone for the great auto-x day. Great turn out and great course. Down time was very quick to fix. The transition of the run group and worker were quick and smooth. I wish all the auto-x is the same format, more runs and less work for everyone. That will be great.

              Thanks again.

Speaking of the radio transmitter, I am not sure if it's common knowledge that it even exists. I know I wasn't aware of it last year until I went to the Huntsville North.v.South event where they made a point of mentioning theirs and then Drew told me we had one too. I have no idea what frequency its on.

it doesn't reach all the way across the BRC, but for the lots we have available now it works better.

Great job and great times! Thanks to everyone who volunteered to work and make this a great way to start out the year. There should have been plenty of runs for all, and lots of tire wear for the tire companies. Good to see old faces and lots of new faces. Sorry I was so concentrated trying to sort out the ACR before the tour event in 2 weeks AND working with Kelly and Kristen as they learn the Maznacerous (Old Yeller).

I hope this was a preview of a great season this year for all. Thanks again, Clay
