Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

Why you ask ... because I'll actually be driving! Yay!

SM should fear the amazing performance monster I'll be bringing to the event ... it's a force that SM has never seen before. Only those who attended the Sept. 13 NDCCC are aware of the fear that will be struck in to the heart of every driver as I take the course ...

Sadly, there will be no Flying Toaster Racing debut on Oct. 5. SCCA specifically prohibits the xB from competition. Mr. Warren said he couldn't let it on the course in good conscience even when I promised to ignore a few cones on his runs. So, now I'll be forced to add a few ...

So, I may take the Evo around for a couple of runs ... I'm not sure. My tires are around 50% tread and I'd like to keep it at least until the charity event later in the fall. We'll see how it all works out.

'06. It's not a big deal. I believe John Waight did write to the national office for a ruling though. But, the rule book specifically states the xB is a hazard for tipping.

News from National regarding the tip over concern for Scion Xb:

The 1st generation Xb (2005-2006) is not allowed to run in stock trim.
The vehicle's Static Stability Factor is below 1.30 (1st gen Xb is 1.20)
and by the rules any vehicle that is under 1.30 is not allowed to run in
stock form. Now if the owner would lower the car and get wider wheels
and tires then the vehicle would be allowed to run as long as its SSF is
above 1.30. For more information on this you can look at the 2008 Solo
            rules on page 238.

Well I just hope that I can get my car ready in time for the event. Got it all back running yesterday, but my recent 5 lug swap has shown me that the rear wheel bearings are no good. And I still have to get the thing corner weighted and aligned!!! I am anxious for the car to make it's debut, and for me to get some seat time!
