Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

I'm still grinning : ). I can't thank you enough for the drive. Wheel spin at 80 mph in an Odyssey? Insanity, pure unadulterated insanity and I LOVE IT!

I believe I will see you guys tomorrow afternoon.

I hope you guys returned those to mom in a timely manner, and replenished the supply of caramels.

Keep coming out, it's fun having you guys there.

We have been working with Sean and we hope to be out on the 20th for the next autocross.
The company gave us a new Accord and we hope to run it in G Stock along with the Vans.

Hmmm, a stock Accord would make for a nice car for some kind of spec-car challenge to see who's really the fastest in the same car. . .

I agree that sounds like a good idea. Kinda like the Jetta TDI cup. The Accord they gave us is brand new . If I read the rules correct about all you can do is an alignment to it and maybe shocks. The stock Michelins are even pretty good 225/50/17. 271Hp 3553wt. It should be a great platform to learn car control. If the company keeps letting us come out we will put as many of our guys in as we can. Gas and tires is all we will have to do to it.

In stock categories you can change the front swaybar, shocks/struts, tires(unlimited), wheels so long as they are within stock spec (offset can't be more than +-5mm), and a few other small things like brake pads and what not.

What I would suggest, is running it with the tires that came on it, or picking up a set of high performance summer tires with a stiffer sidewall and more aggressive compound, but not going into the Rcomp range. This way everyone will learn how to drive without the tires covering up mistakes, and everyone will become a better driver.

You learn more driving with weak tires than you do driving on rcomps.

We will use the stock tires. We have an unlimited supply of them. If a wheel gets scratched while they are building the car it and the tire gets thrown in the trash. We can get more tires and wheels that we have a place to store them. They may not give the best grip possible but they are avaible and like you said they will not cover up mistakes. The whole idea behind the stock Accord is for the drivers to learn.
